Registered Nurse

Community Behavioral Health Agency serving Palm Beach County hiring Registered Nurse. 

Independent contractor position with flexible schedule.

- Responsible for prioritizing, organizing and completing all nursing care functions,

- Perform and document a variety of nursing assessments such as: Biopsychosocial assessment, admission assessments, physical assessments, behavioral and progress assessments and medication assessments,

- Observe and assess needs of patients, take vitals and administer medications (injections) as indicated by physician,

- Accurately recognize side effects and adverse reactions of medications and transcribe physician's orders,

- Ensures psychiatric clients have appropriate consents, releases & guardianship paperwork,

-  Coordinates outpatient psychiatric care with case managers, therapists, psychiatrists and hospital discharge follow up care,

- Ensures incidents reports from psychiatric department are completed,

- Proper disposal of Sharps, Bio Hazardous materials, 

- First Aid kit main custodian. First responder in case of medical emergency along with physicians.

- Orders prescriptions for department.
