Human Resources Assistant
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Under supervision, assist in the completion of all Human Resources tasks, processing documents from hiring to separation from the Company. Ensures that other departments follow processes related with Human Resources matters, and that such processes are properly executed and documented. Volume and scope of work requires the employee to thrive on the challenges of project management such as problem solving, planning, and multitasking.
PROCESSING DUTIES
- Process and provides clearance to new hires who complete all company, federal, state, local and contractual requirements.
- Provides ID badges, and facilitate HR Orientation.
- Process background checks.
- Ensures updated documentation and training is completed by staff/supervisors and present on file.
- Maintain Insurance, COBRA, and I-9 folders up-to-date.
- Coordinates termination with Departments and conducts exit interviews.
- Be thoroughly familiar with HR policies and procedures.
- Maintains and updates employees Paid Time Off (PTO) database.
- Generates reports for Finance, Billing and other departments as required.
- Coordinate enrollment in Health/Dental and other supplemental benefits with appropriate contact.
- Processes unemployment claims.
CUSTOMER SERVICE DUTIES
1. Answers questions to personnel related to HR policy and procedures.
2. Ensures personnel confidentiality.
3. Maintains an “approachable” demeanor, so staff is comfortable in asking questions and/or bringing concerns.
4. Refers staff to the appropriate supervisor/director.
5. Works in collaboration with Clinical, Finance and Insurance Providers.
6. Answers candidates’ questions in regards of benefits and open positions.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
High School Graduate.
Associates Degree in Business Administration preferred
